Cancer has affected everyone, including athletes of all backgrounds. Though the cause to study, prevent, and cure cancer is everpresent in our world, it’s sometime easy to forget just what it means to tackle the disease as a cause when it’s become a mundane message. The University of Oregon football team has decided to make that message of fighting cancer a little brighter – by making themselves brighter in the process.

Sporting new Nike Vapor Talon Elite cleats, Vapor Carbon Elite socks, and Vapor Jet gloves, the Oregon Ducks football team have decorated themselves in bright pink to honor women’s cancer victims and are to auction off the helmets and other game day attire for charity, principally for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. …

FEATURE: Nike Celebrates the 10 Year Anniversary of the San Francisco Women’s Marathon with Commemorative Free Flyknit

Nike’s Free Flyknit has made a big impact in a short amount of time and Sneaker Report has been fortunate enough to bring you all the news concerning the Free. The women’s version of the Free Flyknit will be getting a new design for a great cause in this month.

Celebrating ten years of the Nike Women’s Marathon in San Francisco, the Nike Free Flyknit+ is available in a special double pack that carries the marker of a large “X” on each shoe’s insole, signifying 10 years of the event’s history in northern California. The Women’s Marathon itself is a benefit to raise money for the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to continue cancer research and effectively find a cure for the disease. …
